This broth is useful during acute ailments
when ordinary food is not tolerated, and one needs nutrients, energy, and
fluids. It's the healthiest
electrolyte or sports drink we’ve found. It quickly replaces essential nutrients.
Bring four quarts of distilled or purified water to a boil. Add the following
ingredients to the boiling water:
2 potatoes, cut into pieces. 2 carrots cut
into chunks, including the green tops. The green leafy tops from three
beets. 2 stalks of celery
cut into chunks.
The green leafy tops from the celery. 1/2 cup fresh parsley. 4 leaves of
green kale. 4
leaves of Swiss chard.
Bring to boil, then cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
Add Celtic sea salt until it tastes pleasantly
salty - usually 1-3 teaspoons.
Strain off the solid matter and save the liquid. This liquid can be sipped as
frequently as necessary. It stays fresh only for about 24 hours un-refrigerated, for about a
week refrigerated, and it can be frozen.
The remaining solid matter, while depleted of
a good portion
of it's trace minerals, still has nutrient value. We like to purée
this mixture, and mix small amounts of it with the organic raw turkey or organic
raw lamb we
feed our cat. She loves it! Freeze the leftovers. You'll find that dogs love
this meal also, and it's less expensive and more healthy than the best quality commercial dog or
cat food. Also, you can use this paste to season your own food.
